flywheel (Flex plate)

Changing a flywheel on a 4.0 isn't a problem ... after you get the transmission off. there is only 6 bolts that hold it on.

What problems are you having?

Just guessing but can't get the new one on? Six bolts but only going on in the right orientation, bolt holes not all equally spaced.

im just trying to figure out whats wrong with it. i replaced the starter, its still grinding i did get it started and it was chirping. i drove it around and then it was like the transmition was slipping. it wouldnt move and now it wont even turn over the serpentine belt aint even moving. i need help.

Sounds like your flywheel (or "flexplate") has busted out where it bolts to the crank.

but the torqe conv and fly wheel will not come off, and the t.c is stil bolted to the flexplate.

The center of the flexplate bolts to the crankshaft; that's where they commonly break.
