I have a 1997 ranger with a 4 cyl. 5 speed and sometimes when you press the clutch pedal it will not go all the way to the floor. When that happens, the clutch slips bad. pump the clutch a couple times and it ussually straightens out. My problem is that there are some guys here that drive this truck that cannot grasp the concept of pumping the clutch to make it grab better, and I am afraid they are going to burn it up. Maybe it's too late for the clutch, I am not sure. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this situation?
I am thinking that maybe the clutch is getting pretty worn and its cruddy in there wich is causing the binding...
help?
