This is a question that I don't believe has been asked before, to my knowledge.

I have yet to see a custom shifter/ shift boot for my year ranger.

I did notice that the ranger shifter looks kind of cool removed from the huge rubber shift boot. It reminds me of the shifter in the F150, with the solid black arm and beefy knob.

My question to you all is this: Has anyone removed the big rubber boot from their shifter and used an aftermarket boot, OR a boot from another year that fits the lever? I think the shifter removed from the boot gives it more of a truck-like appearance. I did searches on ebay and noticed the old rangers had the shifter arm exposed, with only a small boot at the bottom.

So is there another year boot that i can use that would fit on the 2006 shifter arm? that would be awesome thanks...
