2000 2.5 rough idle along with some Trouble Codes

My 00 ranger has been running/idling rough lately, along with a ticking/clatter noise and a loss of power. I have a trouble code for the egr pressure sensor, are there any common problems that I should look over first before I begin swapping out egr system parts? Thanks guys.

My moms 01 ranger 3.0L engine light came on a couple months ago, it ended up being the egr code. I first replaced the egr valve, then egr seleniod sensor, then the egr pressure sensor, finnally the light went out. When I pulled the hoses off the pressure sensor some crud fell out, so I should have started there. All components were easy to get to not too exspensive. Seems to be running better now.
