So ive noticed some coolant missing out of my 95 3.0
I decided to investagate
No visible leaks anywhere, no coolant in the oil, exhaust does'nt smell sweet...nothin
i felt the upper rad. hose it felt like it was overpressured (air in the system) so i took off the rad cap and started adding coolant..(heat is on full blast as im doin this of course) thermostat opened...topped her off put the cap back on and im done
This is where it gets fun....Upper hose still feels like it has air in it and the resivoir tank is bubbling and gurgiling....all of a sudden the tank is like half full of coolant WTF??? Pulled off the rad. cap and all you here is PSSSSSSSSST then a water-jet of coolant comes surging up at my face!!!!
after that was all done puking i topped her back off and shut the cap....still air in the upper hose so i took the cap off AGAIN but this time the cap was suctioned to the rad...i mean i had it turned all the way to come off and i literally had to PULL the damn thing off to get it to budge...PSSSSSST noise again....So heres my theory....the intake air or exhaust gases are getting into a water jacket somewhere (headgasket) and putting air and or said gases into my coolant causing this "overpressuring" thinga-ma-jig
