hard to push clutch pedal down?

so when i drop the motor an tranny in my ranger an bled the clutch an now its super hard to push the pedal down? would that be a bad slave or master cylinder?

When my slave went out it had no pressure to it. Have you pinched the line anywhere when dropping the engine in?

you didn't say that it was different or the same parts you took out but when I changed the years around on master cylinders there was binding problems between the rod and master cylinder weren't aligned properly if that's not it look for contamination blockage at the quick coupler
