I can pick up a low milage 3.0L out of a 1998 Ranger, but need to know if I can put it right in a 1996 Ranger. (both have 5 speed standard trans.)
Are all the connections, etc. the same?
Or, are they different enough that I would have to change some things?
Also I would like to know if I were to install 1.7:1 Roller Rockers in my 1994 3.0L Ranger, would I need to do anything special, like change to a roller cam?
I talked to a guy at an engine house today, I mentioned that I wanted to install the Roller Rockers, and he said I would need a roller cam too. I had never heard that before. Is he correct, or can I just install the rockers only?
Any advice would be helpful.
