I have a '99 Ranger 4x4 4litre automatic. The little red line that shows what gear I am in is now on "1" after I tried to adjust it with the thumbwheel on the end of the steering colomn. the cable going through the thumbwheel feels broken/snapped. How do I fix this? 
Any pictures? Economy is killing me and I need to save money. I could just ignore it, but I have for 2 months and my eyes just go to it.
