Hey all, I'd like to swap out my 60/40 seats for some nice buckets. Are there any bucket seats out there that will swap out using the existing 60/40 rails?

Thanks!

Sorry about that. Thanks!

Well to be honest the Tech Library section for seats is very....lacking so I believe its a fair question.

just about any seat with a 14"x 14" (or is it 16"x16", i cant really remember) will bolt right in. i used some seats from a 98 mustang in my 1990 ranger. i think i payed $75 for the pair, but they were electric and the car was in the junkyard so it was a pain in the ass to get them out without a battery in the car. i have also done the 60/40 to bucket conversion, where you cut the middle of the 60 side off and then sew it back up and now you have 2 buckets instead of a split bench.

Yea, I wanted buckets too but all the junk yards were too expensive. I used the Tech article very successfully to convert my 60/40 to a bucket-type. Did have new cover fitted for the lower seat at upholstery shop but it looks like factory job.

In my 98 I cut off the center section of the 60 piece, cut the excess cloth and tied it all back and threw in a center console like many others have done. You can't tell the difference.

The 60/40 tracks fit a ton of seats.I used some buckets from a nissan pulsar........bolted right up.
