So i bought an 83 Ranger For Fun/Camping/4x4'in
What would be a good start as far as lifts go...

I wanna be pointed in the right direction...

I wanna go out camping with my buddies and just get over whatever you know nothing tooooooo extreme...

So if you guys could let me know a good starting point that would be great thanks guys...

Kind of depends on how much $$$ you want to spend!!!
Check out the 1983 - 2008 Ford Ranger 4x4 Suspension Kits section in the Tech Library that should give you some idea.

Yeah depends on how much you want to spend...

Cheap 4" suspension kits can be had for around 4-500 bucks...

You can get a 3" body lift for about 100 bucks...

Ok Well.... i figured it would be how much i wanna spend...
What do you guys recommend
Body Lift? or Suspension lift? 1st
And does anyone have a guide or something i can look at to go solid front axle?
I could be interested i hear its alot of work especially with fords but its all hearsay till i come here? haha

The TTB front end on your ranger is fine unless you plan on running 33 inch or larger tires, locking your front axle or generally beating the piss out of your truck. A solid axle swap is only as hard as you make it.

So what actually is the diff?
Whats a Suspension Lift?
Whats a Body Lift?

Which should come first?
