83 Dash Lights. Help!

I Recently bought my 83 Ranger and the
Dash Doesnt light up
Speedometer is always past the 85mph mark
Temp Guage doesnt work

Any idea's?
Im Sure its electrical but i dont even know where to start!

Bump!
is there lights?
or wiring for em?

If not im gonna add some LED dash lights and hook something up that way!

Let me know before i start buying stuff hahha

Does the Speedometer needle always "bounce" past 85? (my crusty old plymouth fury does that) You probably need to lubricate the speedometer cable or just replace it.

I've never delt with a ranger that old but check the fuses and replace any that are burned out. If that doesn't help maybe the bulbs are burned out.

The gage issue could be caused by the sending unit, or the wiring harness going to it.
