well im new to the site but not new to trucks and cars. im picking me up a 87 ranger this weekend for a great deal. the body is in like prefect shape. the only problem is the a4ld is bad in it. i plain on rebuilding it. well a little about me. i live in carlisle pa. i travel to exton pa everyday to go to school. im attending UTI right now. any questions just ask. later

Just get rid of it...swap in a M5od 5 speed. It's the best tranny in any rbv. The a4ld's will go out faster than a clutch with a bad driver. Other than that good deal!!!

yea i was thinking of doing that. do you know how hard it is to do? the main problem i would have is the wiring. like were to hook it up to for the lights and all. just wondering about how much does it cost to do the swap?
