Hi guys - New here but I've been a long-time occasional lurker. I might be picking up an '03 4 cyl 5 spd XLT for real cheap in the near future, unfortunately it's an ex-contractor truck and nearly every part of the inside/outside is scratched, cracked, crooked, or dented and the engine sounds absolutely terrible (fortunately I have very mechanically inclined family members who decided to get/fix the truck in the first place.) Can someone tell me what year door panels will fit an '03? The headlight switch is missing and panel under the steering wheel has the clips busted off, I know alot of things stayed the same through the years but I don't know where to start searching (well, junkyard would be the logical place)

Also, the drivers seat has a cigarette burn hole right in the center and I do not like velour, has anybody tried eBay seat covers (there are a couple sellers with "perfect fit" covers) and were they any good? It's not a big deal, I just think it will drive me insane knowing I'm sitting on it... yeah, I'm weird.

I'm off to keep searching the forums... thanks in advance!

first of all....welcome aboard, about those panels, u can look for the 98 and up, they are the same panels, my 99 has the same panels as my mom's 03 XLT version, but her's is XL and bro's 00 so they fit between each other for sure
about the seat covers, dont know, we have custom made in the 03(check my cardomain to check em) hope it helps
see u around

yea plus 1,000 on the above post. I too had some bad seats so i got some explorer power cloth seats and had them reupholsted to white leather with burnt orange inserts; I am cuctomizing my truck so this is another option for you.

Thanks guys! I'll keep my eyes peeled for local parting-out ads and maybe get to the junkyard sometime. I'm hoping the seats will clean up some and maybe I can get some of that "as seen on tv" fabric repair stuff for the hole :dntknw:

I had an '85 Lincoln with velour seats and they were gross, they weren't especially dirty and I did shampoo them several times but the fabric was just dingy. Now I have an '88 Lincoln Mark VII with leather seats that are clean but completely worn through and ripped wide open in places. My '61 Ranchero has a vinyl bench out of a Fairlane and I'd take the vinyl over anything any day of the week - that seat is pushing 40 years old and it's not torn or worn out anywhere! My mom's b/f has a '94 B-series with a gray vinyl bench, I might need to steal it when he's not paying attention :D
