Worst week of my life... brought my '97 4-cyl into a shop a family member had previously had good luck with rather than waiting for the weekend for my regular mechanic to have time to look at my newly discovered oil leak. To make a long story short, they took a shortcut and tried pulling out the front crankshaft seal with some kind of tool rather than removing the housing that surrounds it, and managed to nick the crankshaft. Does anyone know if a repair sleeve is available for this application, or am I pretty much SOL and looking at an engine swap?
