98 4in drop

ok i been reading about the 4/5 drop on a 98 Ranger Well i wanted to know what is a happy medium drop i dont want it to be two low because of our roads but i want to lower from stock i been reading the Technical Library and i cant make up my mind on what to get so if you guys could give me an idea that would be great i am hopein nothing to expensive. Also i have one more question ( this is the most retarded question to ever ask) when you buy new shocks, how do you break them in for a lowered shock do you just drive like you would anyday or what?

If you don't want to be too low get the 2/3 kit, and for shocks as soon as there on just drive it for 2-3 days and check the hardware to make sure its tight.

The front would be a bit of a pig, mostly getting the old spring out, getting the new spring would be much easier, the rear would not be bad at all, unless you live in the rust belt and don't have power tools.
