Im trying to find a place to mount my hilift, im thinking under the bedrail but not sure. I wanna see where some of you have yours and see if i can use some ideas, thanks.

HiLift mount?

Thumper113,

I like it, simple and elegant.

Are those brackets the factory high-lift brackets or did you make them yourself?

+1, are those factory mounts, or did you build them?

They're the Hi-Lift brackets. To me, they're well worth the 24 bux they were back then. They probably cost more now though.

nice to see that set up on another truck first,i've been wanting to buy the mounts and cover for my hi lift.

Years ago I saw something even more "elegant"

It was an ad in the back of one 4x4 rag or another
and it was a "step bumper" that was actually made
of large steel channel and was hollow with a locking lid.
It was specifically designed to hold a hi-lift jack, but with
some room left over for other stuff, a tow strap, chain etc...

That is good idea! I might looking that more :icon_idea:. Maybe make one. I am in need of a new rear bumper anyways.

Where can I get the mounts at? Local off road store?

I'd guess that you can get hi-lift mounts anyplace you can buy a high-lift jack.

If you still have the papers that came tith your jack....I'm SURE that
High-lift was also trying to sell them to you:)

It's likely you'll find them "on the shelf" at tractor supply company.

BTW, while I like the under the rail mount I'd put mine on the passenger side.

I don't like the idea of having to stand along the drivers side bed rail to get the jack off it's mount if stopped along a highway with a flat tire

I'm acknowledging that the factory jack is a near useless POS

That's why I'd sit in the bed of the truck to remove & replace it.

Here's one place to get 'em

I put mine in the toolbox, along with the shovel, chains, can of spam, etc.
