I have a 1992 ranger with the 2.3. I love the truck but I really want more power. I dont have a huge budjet and I dont mind a little fabrication, but where can I get the most bang for the buck. Any info would help. thanks

do the exhaust and the intake

Not to be mean... but this has been asked so many times, you would be better off searching.

NItrous. 200 wet shot till the motor blows and then Whammy!!! 302 drop-in.

Bigger motor. Im putting a 2.8 liter with duraspark in. Im tired of my 2.3 not wanting to run plus no power from it.

the cheapest mod to make it faster? drive it in the power band, don't let it get under 3000rpm (unless you're cruising and don't care), shift at 5000-5500rpm, the engine won't care, and it's a lot more fun to drive that way...

most people that complain about the engine being low on power don't let the engine get above 3000 at all, when these things need to be up there to be peppy. Let me tell you, driving my stock 2.3 against the 2.2 in my fiance's S10 is night and day, that thing is kinda gutless, now it's a lot different that I have the turbo, but still...

As soon as I get the 2.8 ready to put in I might sell the 2.3. Btw the 2.3 came out of an 87 ranger and was put in my 83.
