I've been reading that you will have to DISABLE your ECC-IV emission system when you do the Duraspark ignition conversion.
But here is a question, why could you not simply put the ignition control module that is located on the OEM distro and simply install a heatsink, and simply use a "Y" wire harness?
Simply put can you not just feed the Duraspark AND the ECC-IV ignition module by simply feeding them both from the distributor, so both units get a "signal" and will continue to work?
Obviously the Duraspark would deal with ignition and the ECC-IV ignition module would just deal with maintaining feedback carb funtions.
I would like to maintain my ECC-IV as it is working, I just want the reliablity of the Duraspark as I have many corroded wires all over the place, and a failure of a wire is possible, but as right now it works flawlessly.
