My four wheel drive just went out and when i tried to turn it one it just makes a bad grinding noise from the left front wheel, Im assuming it might be a hub, considering that i have the crappy automatic ford hubs in there still... Any thoughts?

Yea that happened to my 87 when my hubs auto hubs exploded. Just replace them with some manual hubs, they were pretty easy to find used off someone elses parts truck or something. It's is a great upgrade regardless if yours are damaged or not though, you will get a little better MPG with them too.
