Ok, so ever since I bought my Explorer it's had a "shudder" whenever I take off, and I know it needed a new d-shaft u-joint, so I replaced both of them... Take it out for a drive and it still does it, yet not as extreme... I'm not that good with clutch and transmission problems... It only does it when releasing the clutch to take off, and if you slip the clutch it doesn't do it... I usually take off about 1100-1200 rpm and don't slip the clutch much... It's not the type of shudder that happens when you are lugging the engine, it's a more extreme shake and will sometimes shake the entire truck... Anyone have an idea? I imagine it's something with the clutch?

Flywheel might be warped. my truck does pretty much the same thing.

The flywheel probably needs to be resurfaced. My truck has been that way for 2 years now. I 'm too cheap to pay for a clutch job.

Does it have a slipyoke on the rear drive shaft?

It recently had the clutch replaced by the PO... I'm thinking this wasn't done...

Why, yes, it does...

The slip yoke may need greased.
