I don't believe in jacking a truck up. I believe in installing a suspension system that is useful off-road. If you had a 4x4 and went off-road, you'd understand that it really is useful. It doesn't just lift a truck, it provides better flex.

Reasons I lifted.
Main reason, because it is incredibly useful when offroading.
1: More clearance over obstacles. eg, rocks, tree, stumps, hills, getting high centered sucks, and can easily damage stuff.
2: Fit bigger knarly-ier tires
3: As for-mentioned, more suspension travel, more flex, flex directly equates to the level of nastiness a truck can takle
And, forgive me for my ego/testosterone/whatever, but sometimes it's just fun to have a jacked up truck. (Although, I have a bad taste in my mouth for punk kids jeeps with a body lift that think they are hot shit.)
Another reason is because I find offroading fun, it's fun to go out 4x4ing with people and I have a good and really satisfying time working on my truck to make it better. If I lived in cali, I think it would be very easy for me to have poured my 'hobby' time and money into my 75' Nova, or something else motorsports related. I like driving (alot, I am fully liscenced, if it's on the road, I can drive it) I like wrenching on a recreational level, and I like designing and building and welding. So, my desire to do these things came out in the form of my Bronco. I'm itching for my pal to buy a ranger so we can mod it.
