How do i fix this?


Its like its still running after i let up the key...

First thing I would do is pull the starter and look at the drive gear and the flywheel. If either looks damaged at all then this may become a bigger job. It could also be a bad starter solenoid. I've had them stick and stay on after shutting the key off, (rare but happens). My guess, without any further information is that the drive gear is getting stuck on the flywheel and not disengaging after the key is released.

My truck did the same thing. I just replaced the starter.
