what do you guys think?

Im planning on buy this speaker (10 in. 2 ohm):

and this amp:

I want to try and make a custom box to go where the jump seat on the drivers side. Do you think the speaker could handle that amp? I'm running an Optima battery so do i still need a capacitor? Thanks for your help.

That amp might even be a little weak for that sub, but it would be OK, for that small of an amp you wont need a cap.

For your box idea you should check out THIS link, and maybe ask irishblessing how he did his.

that's good to hear. I'm not trying for anything powerful just something reliable and that'll give a little depth to my sound. i definitely like the look of that enclosure real clean and out of the way. I'll probably do something very similar.
