intake silencer help

i was planning on taking it out today but cant even find it in my airbox. there is a small rectangle thing coming into it and its a metal piece. did they have the silencers on 93's?
 
im starting to think i dont even have one now cause there isnt even anything in the intake tube.
 
maybe someone beat you to it? lol. i just removed mine today, but i have an 02. im not shure if they changed up the intake on ya or what. but mine had one.
 
pull the whole cold air intake out and look it over
 
it would be right before the TB correct?
 
I beleive if your airbox is like mine, it should be between the headlight assembly and the airbox. Unless i messed up and pulled something which was not the silencer...lol oops
but im pretty shure that I pulled the right thing.

There was a link posted in the 3.0 v-6 section with photos, i thought you were even a part of that thread?

i was and i saw that link but the pictures in it looked NOTHING like mine. someone said that they think they are only in the 98 and up models which would make since
 
ya i guess that makes sense.
