99 Explorer to a 89 Ranger

I have a 4.0 from a 99 explorer and would like to put it in my 89 ranger in place of the 2.9. Is it possible to do this. The wireing harness is completley difrent. I have the complete engine harness for both but have no idea how to put them together. Thanks
 
I do know it is possible, but I wouldn't have a clue as to how to do that swap! :icon_confused:

You might try posting under the "other" engine conversions section...you will probably get more replies there. Good luck with your swap!! :icon_thumby:
