92 explorer runs but stalls in gear

i got a 92 explorer automatic runs a lil rough at idle and as soon as i go into a driving gear it stalls out and even discharges the battery sometimes anyone have any ideas????

locked up tc and maby your starter just gets hot

my dad took a look at it and got it to move in first so he said maybi the valve body solenoid or somthing like that

If its discharging the battery you have a serious electrical problem somewhere. possibly a bad alternator.

I was going to make a new thread but I hope you don't mind me asking here, being a similar problem.

My '97 auto starts fine and will drive flawlessley but sometimes when I get in it to drive it it'll run a bit low in the idle, then when I put it in gear it'll stall out. It just did it three times in a row when I was trying to reverse into my drive.
