Yeah the focus has had better than expected sales.I am surprised Ford wants to invest 550 million to convert the plant to build the focus but they are expecting sales to climb alot higher.I am even more surprised they want to keep a plant in the U.S. open period.We are loosing more and more every year.Chrysler announced the closing of the Twinsburg Ohio plant close to me right after the Fiat merger and it was supposed to be one of the safe plants.I was sure glad to not see Ford take any part of that Bailout money.Hopefully that will help keep them alive through these tough times.

Ford is also bringing a model over from Europe to produce alongside the Focus.

well atleast i know we still get quality cars like the ranger and new fiesta built in mexico?! (I MAY BE WRONG HERE)
I've never been fond of the idea of buying a Mexican built car. This is the reason I don't own a VW.

My credo
If you can't go through it or around it, then go over it.
try a chrysler. my T&C was built in Mexico......

I am suprized Ford is doing this...... SUV and FS truck sales are climbing again due to $2.00 a gallon gas..... though with it going up 40 cents in the last 3 weeks ........ they will be declining again.....

I bought gas for the minvan at $2.47 gallon at 8:15 this morning......... bought diesel (Low sulfur, not ULSD) for $2.19 a gallon at 6 pm and gas was $2.57 a gallon...... first time in 3 years diesel has been less than gas........ {hijack over}
