Got the door apart on my (new to me) 94 ex. The glass and all the pieces were laying in the bottom of the door, oh yea for me. Well i got it put back together and working ok but there is nothing connecting the glass to the rail. The regulator goes down and the glass stays up. What material connects the glass to the rail? There are 2 clips on the rail that the glass sits in but is there supposed to be silicone or something in there?:icon_confused:

If I understand you correctly ... Along the bottom of the window glass, there should be a strip of material (rubber, I think) that fits between the channel and the glass. This material is what actually holds the glass in the window lift.

You can use urethane to hold that together.

Ok i got it figured out. There are 2 brackets that are glued, epoxied or what ever, permanently to the glass. These brackets are then riveted to the guide bar. So now all I need is a glue type substance and ill be done.

There used to be a special adhesive for that job. Can't remember what it was called, last one I did was twenty years ago. Your local friendly independant auto part supplier could probably help you. It was not cheap.
