i just busted my flex plate again....n i had a question. ive got 92 ex with 4.0 n auto, standard equipment. i was thinkin of finding a wreckd mazda navajo or ex sport with a manuel trans n swapping it in.....how hard of a job might that be? would it work n bolt right up, howbout the transfer case? i really hav no idea about any of this...can someone tell me if its do able n practical?

Search, there are a ton of threads on this matter.

In short, it is a day job to do the swap; if you have everything that is.

just read your thread on it....sounds like a job, but definitely doable...i need to decide if i should go through with it, or just replace my flex plate. thank you man, i appreciate it.

It isn't bad if you have someone to help you. I have done 3 swaps and the first was the longest at about 8 hours.

The hardest part you will do anyway just to replace the flex plate on your automatic. The hardest part is removal and re-installation.
