These days I lent my Ranger to my woman and she broke the connection keychain(remote) x key.
I’m figuring out a use for the key separated from the keychain. My Ranger is diesel and sometimes, while a fasts stops (10min or less) is recommendable to let the engine working. I let it on, with the risk of some partner (thief) steal it (I’m in Brazil!).
I thought that I could use the keychain to lock/unlock the doors with the engine working, but with the key in the ignition the remote doesn’t work!
Does someone know how to by-pass this thing? (letting the remote working, no matter if the key is in ignition or no)
