hey what do you guys think is the better of the two upper intakes the aluminum 98-2001 one with the larger throttle bodies or the newest composite one with the smaller throttle bodies?

composite because you can add an escape 60mm throttle body to it

nice thanks for the heads up on that man, i just wish our junk yards had something good in them what motor is that throttle body from? is that a duratec

composite because you can add an escape 60mm throttle body to it

And what will this do?

I think you are forgetting the fact that the Duratec has 4-valves / cylinder, and needs a larger throttle body, the 3.0L Vulcan is only 2 valves / cylinder, so the larger throttle body will do absolutely NOTHING!!

no i just want to do it so i can put my old HAI to use because the composite intakes throttle body is too small for the coupler which was for use on the old two piece aluminum intake plus i have somethings in mind of the ol' vulcan he he he...

johnny carwash!!!

i would just leave it alone unless i did something to the block and heads to make the engine need more air, from what i have heard,(no personal experience with this though) a larger tb on a stock setup can hurt throttle response

YUP, no more air volume, but much lower air velocity due to the larger opening.
