The first two things you need are:
1)a 1991 Ranger EVTM
2)a 1988 Ranger EVTM
Right behind that is a large bag of heat sealable
RED butt splice crimp connectors and a crimper.
You will need a smaller bag of the blue ones and seven
to ten of the yellow ones.
Several single edge razor blades and a large sack of wire ties
You actually need to split BOTH harnesses and use part of each,
keep the horn and light wiring from the old one and essentially
shitcan everything else.
But you need the EVTM(s) to determine what to connect to what.
My recommendation is to use as much of the new harness and as little of
the old one as you can get away with.
You will also need to remove that metal panel on the inner fender that the starter solenoid and relays are mounted to and mount the small under hood fuse and relay
box in it's place.
If you were "local" to eastern Pennsylvania you could come and study my truck
(an '87) into which I swapped 1993 explorer engine and wiring into..
It was to most people an "ugly" job, creating "neat" appearance and results.
