Does anybody know of a company or a place that i can buy BLACK smoked tail lights for an 01-05? I want Black ones and when i say black i mean as if i had tail light covers on them. I tried the tail light covers and they looked a little funny cause they stick out so much and they didnt stay on, i ended up losing both of them after about a 15 mile trip... what a waste. But again i dont want just the standard smoked tails i want the lenses BLACKKK. Please let me know if you can help. Thanks.

Another easy way to do it, is to paint them with tinted clear coat.

You just take clear coat and and some black base coat in, then you paint with the amount of coat you need to get them black as you want.

thee is a stuff out there called vht nightshades. its sprays onto your tails and blacks them out. once its one if you put some gloss clear over it you cant tell it was done. its about $10 a can. you can get it at oreilleys, if I remember right the part number is SP999.

Done with sand paper, bbq paint, and some clear gloss. About 10 bucks of crap from ACE.

Matches the factory black pretty well

Thanks James for editing this! You and your ninja skills... amazing.

Anyways, I second what RatRanger said about the VHT stuff. Nightshade is the way to go.

You could do the clear coat with a hint of black, but the vht is already mixed just how you need it.

I'm done with this thread. I am editing it and removing the illegal parts. Stealing is stealing and TRS does not support this type of activity.
