Hey guys and gals

Need your help with some lowering tech. I am trying to put together a tech article for the library about lowering the 98 and up Rangers i.e. Gen IV's.

Any information is welcome and the information that I use will be credited to the provider. Pictures of your installs are also needed.

There are many different methods of lowering Rangers and I want to incorporate as much information as possible.

NOTE: I WILL NOT accept cut coils as an option. There is much debate on the issue and I am not trying to put anyone's build down, I do not think it is safe to cut coils - plain and simple.

So if you have an article, information, and/or pictures please post your information here and I will put together an article for the newbs . . .

Thanks Everyone in Advance . . . :icon_thumby:

The part number for the adjustable 3.5 degree camber bushings from Advance Auto is K8984 ($19.49 each). And for the rear shocks when lowering, Hardbody (I told them 1993 Nissan D21) shocks can be used. I got them from Autozone for $15.99 each. They are shorter and bolt right up. Make sure to use the bushing from the old shocks in the new ones. Thats about all I can help with.

Thanks Sean - but it looks like you have a 96 which is a Gen III. Still very good information and much appreciated.

Oh, sorry. Under my hood there is a IV in white. I forgot that I'm Gen 3.

DJM 4/5 kit is the best way to go static in my opinion. 2/3 is also available from DJM as well. Belltech makes a 3 inch front drop coil. Best shocks hands down are Doetsch Nitro Slammers and DJM. I have heard some decent things about the new belltech nitro 2 shocks but no personal experiance with them.
