1996 4.0 ranger 2 wheel drive no power bogs down

hey guys i just rebuilt my engine and an upgraded cam got it all back together idles great took it for a drive and it has no power. I checked exhaust leaks vaccum lines fuel changed fuel filter plugs wires all new and the check engine light was on it went off after idling for 20 min. any ideas would help thanks.
 
Retrieve the Check Engine Light code. It will be stored in the computer even after the light turns off. I would think the timing may be 1 tooth off, double check that.
 
ya i am trying to work on getting a programmer to pull the code. i cant take it to the shop right now because it isnt registered right now and i dont have a trailer... I was toled it may sound as if the timing may be off but was then toled by 2 shops about it and they said the comp corects it..
 
finally got it all finished!! after replacing this and that it turns out it was the IAC on the intake. runs like a champ. cant wait to brake it in and see how this new cam works out!! :icon_hornsup:
