Bleeding My 94 Mazda B3000 Clutch

Hey I wondering if there is a trick to this because I cannot seem to get a hard pedal, Iv had a guy in the truck pumping and me under with a 8 mm wrench opening it when ever I tell him to hold the pedal down, close it tell him to pump and repeat. I get a good squirt of fluid out of the nipple but it wont seem to give me a hard pedal. any suggestions thanks

You're supposed to have the end of the master cylinder pointed upward so all the air can escape (needs to be bled before installation if it's a new MC). Yeah, dumb design.

You MIGHT be able to get the air out if you quickly and forcefully cycle the pedal about a dozen times with the bleeder left open however (it's worth trying anyway. While bleeding the slave after a clutch change, I didn't realize the reservoir ran dry and got air into the master, and was able to get the pedal back after stomping on it some).

I've had one hell of a time, every time. I changed the slave cylinder awhile back, and even with the "quick disconnect" down by the transmission, there was still air in the master when I was done. In my experience, the ONLY way to get the master to bleed properly is to unbolt it from the firewall, and bleed it using the normal procedure, but tilt it so that the front of the master is as high as it can go. I usually reach under the dash and press the "rod" in with vice grips. It doesn't take long this way.

Its not a new clutch I just had the motor replaced with a newer one, and my clutch needed to be re bled. I'm gonna try and take it off the firewall and tilt it upwards cause it sits pointing down so the stubborn air bubbles probably wont escape and its just passing fluid by......
