I installed a CB Radio in my truck, and was stupid and bought an antenna from walmart. needless to say, it sucked big time. so i took it back, and haven't bought one. i have had it installed for almost a month now, and i am just so frustrated, because its sitting in my truck, and i can't use it:bawling:

I would like to install a fiberglass antenna but i don't know what brand and where would be the best place to mount it. any antenna that i get, i cannot mount on my roof, because i go to ucf and park in parking garages all the time. so if anyone one can tell me what kind to get and where would be the best place to mount it, i would be very grateful (i am on a student's budget.). Thanks so much guys.

from what i have heard Wilson and Firstick are really good. as for mounting, not to sure.

theres mounts for bumpers out there iirc. any truck stop would have a few differant brands/prices

would the reception still be good if i mounted it to the back bumper of my truck? and if i did this would i have to get a no ground antenna??

My late step-dad always had a CB back in the late 70's and early 80's and on a couple different trucks he mounted it on the back of the hood in the center. I thought it was kinda strange but still it's an option,he got good reception. Just check to see if it clears the windshield :)

mines on the bumper, I get decent reception, I get in and out and can communicate with people I'm driving with when we're out and about.

I have no idea what brand it is though, It's a hand me down from my dad
