OK, I know this has been beat to death but I can't really find any answers to my concerns. I have a 2003 FX4 and did a t-bar crank. I raised the front about 1 1/2". If I get a longer bolt for the drivers side I could go higher but it is already to the point where the ride is as harsh as I can stand. The problem is, my front end is still about 1" lower than the rear. The rear has all stock suspension. I called Fat Bobs and spoke with them about the Truxx keys. They explained to me that the keys would get the truck level which I don't doubt. My question is: Do the keys do it with a softer ride? They told me the keys would in fact increase the firmness of the ride but not as much as cranking the bars. I know I can get the truck level by cranking but the ride is just horrendous. Any thoughts?

Adding keys is exactly the same as cranking the bars up with the adjuster bolts. Both ways all you are doing to losing down travel and increasing torsion bar preload.

Also if your truck is a 4x4, just remove the rear block, that will bring your back end down. I bought the truxx keys for my 05 ranger, they didn't fit up too well and without the special tool were impossible to put on, i snapped like 2 gear pullers tryin that! just go with a tbar crank and remove the rear block if you want the level look.
