Reading Rainbow rocked the house. SO much better than Sesame Street and a lot of the other carp geared for kids.
Never heard of it. Before my time I guess.

I remember those old shows. The Reading Rainbow, Conjunction Junction, The Electric Company, School House Rock. I remember when the Muppets were puppets, and not a cartoon, and M.A.S.H. before it was re-runs. I'm not that old (31) but now I feel old because of how long ago these shows were on, lol.
Rocket, you heaped a lot in there from different eras. Reading Rainbow (which I never heard of) was not in the same era as those old Conjunction Junction, What's Your Function? reel movies I saw in 5th grade. Mash is older too. Electric Company I will probably remember if I look it up. I don't know about Muppets--they were puppets on a weekly series I think. I don't think I know of any cartoons.
I know the original Star Trek that I saw as a kid was actually all reruns--done before I was even born.
then you must be early to mid 30's then too will. I remember Brady Bunch in re-runs, new episodes of the dukes of hazard, the Muppets, .............

Sorry you missed out. Great (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reading_Rainbow) show when I was a kid. Right up there with Square One TV, 3-2-1 Contact, and Mr. Wizard.
Mr. Wizard I know.
I'm, um, sort of early to mid thirties. I was born in 1969.
But I never watched much TV so I'm not a reliable witness. My dad wasn't that good with aluminum foil and rabbit ears. Unfortunately I spent the vast majority of my childhood contributing to global warming.

I remember those as well - Mr. Wizard rocked! :D Yeah, Will, I did kinda heap a lot in there. Was pretty much listing shows I remember from my childhood, in no particular order or timeline.

Yep, those too, along with The A-Team, and Mission Impossible, and MacGyver. Most anything put on tv now is crap compared to what was on back then. I haven't invested in one of those digital converters yet because I wasted enough time watching tv as a kid, and don't really care for much that is on now. Not that the computer exactly helps me manage my time either... :dunno:
