4.0 radiator

will a 4.0 radiator fit in my 3.0 ranger? The 4.0 radiator is larger than the 3.0 correct? Its a 93 if it matters. Im wondering if it will basically bolt in, and if not, what will i have to modify. Ive tried the search but couldnt find anything.

It depends on the 4.0 radiator if its thicker or not.
The diference should only be in the thickness, and on every one I have seen, the tanks are the same, with different thickness cores, so I would say it fits.

So, mtnrgr, how much "trimming" of the fan shroud was needed to put the 4.0 radiator into a 3.0 vehicle?

I need to replace a radiator also, and would like the additional cooling here in South Carolina. Gets kinda hot here at times.
