We are new to Rangers. We just traded for a 94 Ranger extended cap, 2wd, auto tranny, 4.0. It needs some work. We want to start by getting the temperature gauge to work. I suspect it's a simple sending unit failure. There's a lot of electronics and wiring on this engine, where is the temperature gauge sending unit?
We are looking at a sending unit top-front, slightly to passenger side that has a single wire push-on type connection. That looks like it should be the sending unit. Can anyone confirm? Any pictures or suggestions or ways to test the gauge and sending unit?
