6ft box swap with 7 ft box

I have A 2000 XLT Supercab 4x4 It was hit on the drivers side rear box this past winter I want to know if I can swap out the 6 ft. box with a 7ft box and if i can what kind of fabrication would I have to due, I.E. shackles , exhaust , fuel tank ,frame,etc,etc. :icon_idea:

No the wheelbase of the truck is different.

HALF the additional length of the longer box is forward of the wheelwell
