i broke my crank sensor and replaced it with one from schucks. ever since then the truck stalls and backfires with the SPOUT connected, runs great with it unplugged. runs great with the alternator unplugged.
i've swapped coils, DIS module, had the alternator tested 3 times. nothing fixed it.
i swapped out the ECA which fixed it but it was the wrong ECA and it was trying to read a MAF sensor which i don't have.
so knowing that the ECA fixed it, i go ahead and order a remanufactured one, install it and SAME problem. found out the parts guy dropped it off a stack of boxes so i'm waiting on a second ECA.
but i'm afraid it still won't fix the problem, i don't see how 2 ECAs can have the exact same problem wrong with them, but one fixed the problem.
anybody have any ideas? similar experiences?
i've tested the new crank sensor several times with a lab scope
