So ive finally make a decision. Going to make the 08 sport ranger into a street truck. Ive done so much offroading and mudding, that it took me for ever just to get some of the mud outta the engine bay and all. Lately been in such a fast driving mood, that I should have a sport compact. But wheres the fun in that.

So Im looking for Suspension kits for lowing my 2008 Ford ranger sport 3.0L
It has torsion bar suspension.

And looking for engine/tanny mods.

Im hoping to jump up my 148hp/180 fpt
250/300
Can it be done in a decent budget?

What's a 'decent budget'? It can be done with forced air. You're not getting 300 foot pounds without some type of external power adder.

Im hoping only couple grand.

Sure, if you invest the time into research and gather parts yourself. Look at the twin turbo Bronco II being discussed on the forums for an example of somebody doing all the legwork and ending up with a wild turbo project.

Paying a shop to do it would cost well over your target budget. I assume you're not at all concerned about warranty coverage of the engine/driveline?

I could potentially do most of the installation of all the stuff, I am little worried with the warrenty but its a ford, not a gm... lol

Im just getting little fed up with the slowness of it... but I guess I should of figured that out when I bought it, but I must say it has kept me out of alot of speeding tickets.

Has anyone else done some decent mods/bolt ons on there 3.0L and wheres the best place to buy from.
