When I bought my '87 it had a fiberglass topper on the back, with a dome light powered by batteries. Now the dome light no longer functions.
Anyone got some real-world experience to the best way to illuminate the inside of the topper?
I would like to run a hot from the battery along the frame and have it come into the bed, where the topper seals at.
Should I install a new light where the old one was(just above the rear opening) and would it be nicer if I had a toggle switch and had two interior lamps installed, one toward the front and one toward the back(to help eliminate shadows) controlled by a toggle switch.
Any suggestions for a good disconect(if I ever want to remove the topper) and any suggestions on the type of lamps I need to use, mainly I will be hauling cargo in the truck bed, but I also may sleep back there when camping.
I am looking at these fixtures: http://www.rallylights.com/detail.aspx?ID=4559 with the 10W Krypton bulbs.
