check engine light

my check engine light is on (96 ranger 4 cylinder automatic). I took it to Oreilly's and hooked it up to the diagnostic tool and the code it gave me was "shift solenoid". It runs a little rough going up hills. I've already replaced the plugs, wires, and filters. Any idea which sensor this could be?

JUST replced solenoid B in my 97 last week. I noticed a huge improvement in performance and better shifting...for about 3 days. It went poop on me again and the cel's back on.
