Cat sensor prob.

i wanted to just clean out the cat and put it bak on here but my mechanic is tellin me there is a sensor on there that makes it so i cant. you guys have any idea what sensor it is and if i can relocate it or just leave it there and bang it out anyway?

It's an oxygen sensor, and regardless of state level enforcement you'd be breaking federal law to disable an emissions device like this. Your catalytic converter has ZERO impact on power, so there's no reason to disable it in the first place.

FYI, TheRangerStation doesn't generally allow discussion of tampering with emissions equipment.

maybe he just meant cleaning the crap out of it? although i've never heard of anyone doing this, i don't think its illegal.
