so i got in my truck at 4:45 am and went to turn on my lights. my head lights were on but no running lights or any of my guages either.
im curios to know if anyone has experienced this before. i think it just may be the swith so if i get one from the yard, ill be good to go. electrical systems are definitly my weekness so any advise would be great.

Weird, I had the same thing happen to me two days ago. My check guage/turn signal/etc lights work, my headlights work, my dome and ohc lights work, but my illumination lights for my guage cluster and HVAC cluster went out. They're brand new LED bulbs. IDK if I may have tripped something when I installed my OHC or what. The fuse is still fine, and the lights worked when I first installed my OHC, but I went back and connected the speed sensor and the wire that turns the dome lights on when the door is open. Any help would be awesome.

Parking light fuse is bad. Should be a 20 amp fuse.

Its not that fuse for me, all of mine are good. I hope its that simple for you C-Note.

The kid at Auto Zone said it may be the dimmer switch, but my dome lights come on when I use that switch, and how would that effect my running lights? :icon_confused:

Can you find a happy medium between the headlight and parking light pull on the headlight switch? If you can 9 times out of 10 it is the fuse. If it is not the fuse like you said it may be the connector on the headlight switch. Those will burn and warp causing the lights not to work. Your dome light will still work as it is a different part of the switch.

I can't find a sweet spot so I guess its the switch. Could this have anything to do with me installing an overhead console? Could I have fried a wire? I'd like to make sure its the switch before I pull my dash apart. Between my ohc project and my led cluster lights, I'm gettin tire of this process.:D
