fog light wiring

I did a search, but the wrong stuff kept popping up. I'm looking to mount some lights on the bumper. the lights i got came with a switch for the cab, but can i wire it directly to the headlights or factory without a problem?

The best way is to wire it with a relay so the main power to the lamps runs through the relay to the lamps and not through the switch. The switch will control a 12V source to activate the relay when turned on.
