I have a 94, with a bad shutter on take off from a stop position. Once the truck is rolling it does not have the same problem. The clutch plate, pressure plate, bearing etc and carrier bearing have been replaced. To me it seems as though something is stuck and than frees after the truck is rolling. Would any of you have some ideas?

I tought about that as well, No difference

Could be your brakes are not releasing properly...I had a similar issue and it would NOT go away with anything I did to the engine...but the front flex lines may be causing your calipers to stay engaged because the brake fluid can't go back...

It's actually quite common with Rangers and the fix is to replace the flex lines...you can check it by jacking up the front end and applying the brakes...if the front wheel doesn't turn freely then you've found the problem...if you haven't done your front brakes for a while it might be a good time to do so as well as replacing the flex lines...

They are inexpensive and easy to do...but if you've never done them it can be a bit overwhelming at first...

Edit: In the above it should say apply the brakes and release them...then check the wheel by trying to spin it...(if the brakes are on...it won't spin...and that's normal)...
